Payment Options/Financing

Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in an individual’s health and well-being. We believe financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this important health benefit. Our office strives to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget. Your treatment plan will include a breakdown of all applicable fees, and we will inform you of all costs before treatment is administered.

We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs, including checks, cash, and VISA, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. We also accept EBT cards. Most patients use automatic payment from their bank account. We are sensitive to the fact that different people have different needs, and offer a variety of payment options:

A down payment is usually 20 – 25% at the start of treatment. We are flexible with down payments, with the balance paid in monthly payments over the estimated length of treatment. There are no interest charges with this option.

A discount of 5% is given for payment in full at the beginning of treatment. The discount is reduced by 2% if a credit card is used.

If none of the above options work for you, please contact our financial coordinator to see if we can work out an individual plan suited to your needs.

Financing is available through Care Credit. Finance charges may apply.

Insurance

If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime, maximum orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits, so although policies vary, we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action.

We work with most insurance plans and are happy to assist you in determining whether your insurance company will cover your orthodontic treatment and the benefit amount. If your company does provide benefits, we will be happy to take care of the insurance paperwork and file your claim for you.

To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our questionnaire. If you have any questions regarding insurance, please contact our financial coordinator or patient treatment coordinator.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all remaining charges.
