Metal braces are the most common type of braces for over 100 years now. However, advances in innovation have made metal braces smaller, faster, more comfortable, and more effective. Our metal braces are made of high-quality, durable stainless steel and work by applying brackets to the teeth and connecting them with a wire. The wire is tied to the braces using elastic ties, which come in an array of colors. To move the teeth, your orthodontist will make adjustments at your follow-up appointments every 4-8 weeks. Compared to Invisalign®, metal braces require less discipline since they are not removable.

Ceramic braces are a great option for those that want to straighten their smile in a more discreet way. Unlike metal braces, ceramic braces are made of clear, tooth-colored material and are most popular with older teens and adult patients due to their cosmetic appeal. They move the teeth as effectively as metal braces and do not stain or discolor. This is often a more affordable option to Invisalign and will benefit those who have a more serious case that Invisalign may not be able to fix.
